Blower door testing is often required on new homes. Duct testing is required by code on new ducted systems even if they are inside the thermal envelope. ERVs are required in most new dwellings, including ADUs.

Code testing is usually done in NON-Stretch Energy Code towns in Massachusetts. It is also done in New Hampshire and Rhode Island.
